Lesson: Luke 14:17 (Ages 6-8)
📖 Luke 14:17 – Ages 6-8
Explanation
In this verse, Jesus tells a story about a big feast that was ready, and the host wanted his friends to come and enjoy the delicious food he had prepared. The host sent his servant to invite them because everything was prepared and waiting for them.
Imagine you are having a birthday party, and you have your favorite cake, balloons, and games all set up. You would want your friends to come and celebrate with you, right? That's just like what the host in the story wanted – he wanted his friends to come and have a good time at the feast he had planned.
In the same way, God wants us to come to Him and be a part of His family. He has prepared wonderful things for us, like love, joy, and peace. When we accept God's invitation and follow Him, we get to experience all the good things He has ready for us.
So, just like the people were invited to the feast in the story, God invites us to be a part of His family and enjoy His blessings. Let's say "Yes" to God's invitation and be happy guests at His wonderful feast of love and grace.
Kid's Story
Once upon a time, there was a little bunny named Benny who loved to throw parties for his friends. One day, Benny decided to host a big carrot feast in the meadow. He sent out invitations to all his friends and eagerly awaited their arrival.
As the day of the feast approached, Benny grew more and more excited. He set up tables with delicious carrot dishes, colorful decorations, and even a carrot-shaped piñata. But as the sun began to set, none of his friends had shown up.
Feeling sad and disappointed, Benny wondered if his friends had forgotten about the feast. Just then, he remembered the verse from Luke 14:17. Benny realized that just like the master in the Bible story, he needed to go out and remind his friends that the banquet was ready.
Benny hopped to each of his friends' burrows, inviting them once again to the feast. Soon, all his friends arrived, and they had a wonderful time celebrating together under the twinkling stars. Benny learned that sometimes, a gentle reminder is all it takes to bring everyone together for a joyful gathering.
