Lesson: Revelation 3:12 (Ages 9-11)
📖 Revelation 3:12 – Ages 9-11
Explanation
In Revelation 3:12, Jesus is saying that those who follow Him and stay strong in their faith will have a special place in God's temple, like a strong pillar that holds up a building. This means that they will be important and valued in God's heavenly home.
He promises that they will never have to leave this special place again, showing that they will always be close to God and part of His family. It's like having a forever home where they are safe and loved.
Jesus also says that He will write on them the name of God, the name of the city of God (which is the new Jerusalem), and His new name. This means that they will belong to God in a very special way, like having a beautiful and unique tattoo that shows they are part of God's family forever.
So, when we trust in Jesus and keep following Him, we can look forward to being close to God, valued by Him, and belonging to His family in a special way, just like a strong pillar in His heavenly temple.
Kid's Story
Once upon a time, there was a brave little squirrel named Nutmeg who loved exploring the forest. One day, Nutmeg faced a big challenge - a tall tree with delicious acorns at the top. Despite feeling scared, Nutmeg didn't give up. She climbed higher and higher until she reached the acorns, showing great courage and determination.
Just like Nutmeg, we can overcome challenges in our lives with God's help. In Revelation 3:12, God promises that those who trust in Him will become strong like a pillar in His temple. He will write His name on us and we will always belong to Him, just like Nutmeg never left the tree after conquering it.
So, remember, like Nutmeg, be brave and keep going, knowing that God is always with you, helping you overcome anything that comes your way.

Instructions:
1. Begin by explaining the verse to the children in simple terms, highlighting the promise of being made a pillar in God's temple and having His name written on them.

Memory Verse or Rhyme
In God's temple, strong and tall,
The one who overcomes will stand tall.
Never leaving, forever blessed,
With God's name on them, truly impressed.
New Jerusalem, shining bright,
In heaven's glory, a wondrous sight.
With God's new name, shining like a star,
The one who overcomes will go far!
