Lesson: Acts 10:9 (Ages 6-8)
📖 Acts 10:9 – Ages 6-8
Explanation
One day, Peter was on a journey with his friends, getting closer to a city. When it was almost lunchtime, Peter decided to go up to the roof of the house to talk to God. Just like how we sometimes go to our favorite spot to talk to a friend, Peter went to the roof to talk to God.
Talking to God is like chatting with a best friend who is always there to listen. Peter wanted to thank God, ask for guidance, and spend time with Him. By going up to the roof to pray, Peter showed us that we can talk to God anytime and anywhere, just like we talk to our friends when we need them.
So, this verse reminds us that it's essential to make time for God in our busy days. Just like Peter found time to pray while traveling, we can also talk to God wherever we are, whether at home, school, or even in a park. God is always ready to listen to us and be our friend.
Kid's Story
Once upon a time, there was a little squirrel named Sammy. Sammy loved to climb trees and explore the forest near his home. One sunny day, as Sammy was searching for acorns, he saw a bird flying high above. Curious, he decided to climb up to the top of a tall tree to get a better view.
As Sammy reached the top, he felt the warm sun on his fur and saw the beautiful view of the forest. Feeling grateful, Sammy closed his eyes and whispered a little prayer, thanking God for the beauty around him. Just like Peter in Acts 10:9, Sammy found a quiet place to pray and talk to God.
From that day on, whenever Sammy climbed to the top of a tree, he remembered to say a little prayer of thanks. Just like Peter, Sammy learned that talking to God is special and can happen anywhere, even high up in a tree.
