Lesson: Luke 1:56 (Ages 3-5)

📖 Luke 1:56 – Ages 3-5

Explanation

After Mary found out she was going to have a special baby named Jesus, she went to visit her relative Elizabeth. They spent a lot of time together, about three months! They probably talked about baby things and shared stories. Then, when it was time for Mary to go back home, she said goodbye and went back with a happy heart.

Just like Mary and Elizabeth, when we spend time with our family or friends, it makes us happy. We can share stories, play games, and help each other. And even when it's time to say goodbye, we can remember the fun times we had together. Mary and Elizabeth were happy to see each other and help each other, just like we do with our loved ones.

Kid's Story

Once upon a time, there was a little squirrel named Sammy who loved to visit his friend, Mrs. Rabbit, in the forest. Sammy had so much fun playing with Mrs. Rabbit that he didn't want to leave her side.

One day, Mrs. Rabbit had to go away for a while to visit her family in another part of the forest. Sammy felt sad that his friend was leaving, but Mrs. Rabbit told him, "Don't worry, Sammy. I will be back soon."

Just like Mary stayed with her friend for three months in the Bible, Mrs. Rabbit returned after three weeks. Sammy realized that even though his friend had to leave, she would always come back to him. He learned that spending time apart from loved ones can make the time spent together even more special.

And so, Sammy and Mrs. Rabbit continued to have wonderful adventures together in the forest.
