Lesson: Luke 21:22 (Ages 3-5)

📖 Luke 21:22 – Ages 3-5

Explanation

In Luke 21:22, Jesus is saying that there are times when people may be unkind or do wrong things, and that God will take care of those situations. Just like how parents might give a consequence when a child does something wrong to help them learn and grow, God sometimes brings justice to make things right.

Imagine if someone took your favorite toy without asking. That might make you sad or upset. But if that person learns why it's important to ask first and gives back your toy, then it helps everyone feel better. That's a bit like how God works to make sure things are fair and good in the world.

So, when Jesus talks about "days of vengeance," he means that God is watching over us and making sure everything turns out the way it should, just like a loving parent would. It reminds us that God cares for us and wants what is best for everyone.

Kid's Story

Once upon a time, there was a little bunny named Benny. Benny loved hopping around the forest, exploring new places. One day, he found a big, juicy carrot and he was so excited! But as he was about to take a bite, a sly fox appeared, wanting to steal his carrot.

Benny was scared but remembered what his wise old rabbit friend had told him: "In difficult times, remember that God is with you." So, instead of running away, Benny bravely stood his ground and said, "No, Mr. Fox, this carrot is mine!"

The fox was surprised by Benny's courage and left without taking the carrot. Benny realized that even in scary moments, God is there to help him be strong. Just like in the Bible verse Luke 21:22, God helps us through tough times and fulfills His promises.

They can remember to be patient and wait for God's timing, knowing that He will fulfill His purposes in their lives. This can help children to be more understanding and patient with their family members, classmates, and friends, even when things may be challenging. It can also encourage them to pray and seek God's guidance in all situations, trusting that He has a plan for their lives.
