Lesson: Luke 8:41 (Ages 3-5)
📖 Luke 8:41 – Ages 3-5
Explanation
In this verse from the Bible, a man named Jairus comes to see Jesus. Jairus was an important leader in the church. He was very worried because his daughter was very sick and he wanted Jesus to come and help her.
Imagine if you had a friend who was very sick, and you asked your mommy or daddy to help them feel better. Jairus felt the same way about his daughter. He knew that Jesus could help her, so he went to Jesus and asked Him to come to his house.
Jairus showed great faith and trust in Jesus by asking for His help. This story teaches us that we can always go to Jesus when we are in need, just like Jairus did. Jesus cares for us and wants to help us, just like He helped Jairus and his daughter.
Kid's Story
Once upon a time, there was a little rabbit named Rosie who loved hopping around in the meadow near her burrow. One sunny day, Rosie saw her friend, a squirrel named Sammy, looking very sad. Sammy told Rosie that his acorn tree was sick and needed help.
Rosie remembered a story she heard about a man named Jairus who asked Jesus for help when his daughter was sick. So, she hopped over to Sammy and said, "Let's go see the wise old owl in the forest. Maybe he can help your tree."
Together, Rosie and Sammy found the owl and asked for his guidance. The owl listened carefully and shared some special seeds that would help the acorn tree grow strong and healthy again. Sammy was overjoyed, and Rosie learned that just like Jairus, asking for help from wise friends can bring blessings.
