Explanation

In this Bible verse, some people were very surprised when they heard something. They were so surprised that they asked each other, "If it's so hard, who can be saved?"

Imagine you have a really big puzzle to solve, and you feel like it's impossible. That's how the people felt when they heard Jesus talk about important things. They thought it was too hard to do what Jesus said.

But here's the wonderful part: Jesus can help us, just like how a grown-up helps you with a puzzle that seems too tricky. Even when things seem impossible, Jesus can make them possible. So, when we feel like something is too hard, we can always ask Jesus for help because with Him, all things are possible.

Kid's Story

Once there was a little bunny named Benny who loved hopping around in the meadow. One day, Benny heard a story about how it's hard for rich people to get into heaven. This made Benny wonder, "If even rich people have a hard time, how can anyone be saved?"

Benny decided to ask his wise owl friend, Ollie, for advice. Ollie explained that no matter how much money you have or how many things you own, what matters most is having a kind and loving heart. Benny realized that anyone, rich or poor, can be saved by being good and showing love to others.

From that day on, Benny made sure to share his carrots with his friends and help them whenever they needed it. He learned that being kind is the most important thing of all, and that's what truly matters in the eyes of God.

Life Application

When we read Mark 10:26, we learn that the disciples were amazed and wondered who could be saved if it was difficult for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God. Children can apply this message in their lives by remembering that no matter how big a problem may seem, God is always there to help us. When children face challenges at home, school, or with friends, they can remember to pray and ask God for help just like the disciples asked Jesus. God is always ready to help us, no matter how tough the situation may seem.

Let's create a simple "Who Can Be Saved?" game to help children understand Mark 10:26. You can draw or print out pictures of different people (e.g., a child, a parent, a friend) and place them in a basket or box.
