Lesson: Mark 11:6 (Ages 6-8)
📖 Mark 11:6 – Ages 6-8
Explanation
In Mark 11:6, there is a part of the Bible where some people were asked a question. They replied exactly as Jesus had told them to, and because of that, they were allowed to go on their way peacefully.
Imagine if you were playing a game with your friends, and they told you the secret code to win. When someone asked you what the code was, you remembered what your friends said and shared it with the others. Just like that, the people in the Bible story listened to Jesus and repeated His words. This showed that they obeyed Him and did what was right.
Jesus wants us to listen to Him and follow His teachings because He loves us and knows what is best for us. When we trust Him and do what He says, we can experience peace and happiness in our hearts, just like the people in the Bible story.
Kid's Story
Once upon a time, a little squirrel named Sammy found himself in a pickle. He accidentally knocked over a bird's nest while playing, and the angry birds demanded an apology. Sammy felt scared and worried, but he remembered a verse from the Bible that said, "They answered them just as Jesus had said, and they let them go."
Taking a deep breath, Sammy apologized to the birds just as Jesus would have wanted him to do. To his surprise, the birds forgave him and even invited him to play with them. Sammy learned that saying sorry and following Jesus's teachings can lead to forgiveness and friendship. From that day on, Sammy made sure to treat others the way Jesus would want him to, with kindness and love.
Prayer Prompt
Dear God, thank You for always keeping Your promises, just like how Jesus said. Help us to trust in Your words and know that You will always take care of us. Amen.
