Lesson: Matthew 26:53 (Ages 3-5)

šŸ“– Matthew 26:53 – Ages 3-5

Explanation

This Bible verse is like when you feel scared or alone, and you ask your parents for help. Jesus is saying that He could ask His Father in Heaven to send powerful angels to protect Him if He wanted to. Just like how your parents are always there to help and protect you, Jesus has God's powerful angels ready to help Him too. It shows us that Jesus is very powerful and always has a way to keep us safe and loved.

Kid's Story

Once upon a time, there was a little squirrel named Sammy. One day, Sammy was playing in the forest when a big, scary bird swooped down to try to steal his acorns. Sammy was scared and didn't know what to do.

Just then, Sammy remembered a special verse he had heard in Sunday school. He closed his eyes and said, "Do you think I cannot call on My Father, and He will at once send more than twelve legions of angels?" And in that moment, Sammy felt brave and called out to God for help.

Suddenly, a whole army of tiny guardian angels appeared around Sammy, scaring the big bird away. Sammy learned that he could always ask God for help, and He would send his angels to protect him.

From that day on, Sammy knew that he was never alone because God's angels were always watching over him.

Prayer Prompt

Dear God, thank you for always being there for me. Just like Jesus knew He could ask You for help, I know I can talk to You too. Help me remember that You are always with me, ready to help and protect me. Amen.
