Lesson: Revelation 5:11 (Ages 3-5)

📖 Revelation 5:11 – Ages 3-5

Explanation

In this verse, we learn about a very special moment in heaven. Imagine a place full of angels, living beings, and elders gathered around God's throne. There were so many of them that no one could even count them all! It was like looking at a sky full of twinkling stars at night, but even more magical and magnificent.

Just like how we have many friends and family members who love us, in heaven, there are many heavenly beings praising and worshipping God together. They are all so happy and full of joy, singing beautiful songs of love and thanks to God.

This verse reminds us that in heaven, there is always a big celebration of God's greatness and love. It shows us how amazing and wonderful it is to be in God's presence, surrounded by so much love and happiness. Just like how we feel happy when we are with our loved ones, we can imagine the joy and peace that fill heaven when all these heavenly beings come together to honor God.

Kid's Story

Once upon a time, in a magical forest, there was a curious little squirrel named Sammy. One day, Sammy overheard the birds chirping about a grand gathering happening at the heart of the forest. Excited, Sammy scurried over, and there he saw a wondrous sight.

In the clearing, surrounded by shimmering light, were countless angels singing joyfully. Beside them stood majestic lions, wise owls, and gentle deer, all in harmony. The elders, with long beards and kind smiles, sat in awe.

Amazed by the beautiful sight, Sammy whispered, "Wow, there are so many of them, just like in the Bible!" He felt a warmth in his heart, knowing that in unity, there is strength and joy.

From that day on, Sammy learned that when we come together in love and harmony, we can create something truly magical, just like the angels and creatures in the forest.

Life Application

This verse from Revelation 5:11 reminds us that there are countless angels praising God in heaven. Children can apply this message in their daily lives by remembering that God is always surrounded by praise and worship. They can praise God too, by singing songs, saying prayers, or even drawing pictures to show their love for Him. Children can also remember that God is always with them, just like the angels are always near His throne. So, when they feel sad, scared, or lonely, they can talk to God in prayer, knowing that He is listening and caring for them just like the angels in heaven.

Craft or Activity

One fun activity to help children understand and remember the message of Revelation 5:11 is to create a "Countless Angels" craft. Provide the children with craft supplies like colored paper, markers, glue, and glitter. Let them create their own unique angels using the supplies. As they are making their angels, talk to them about how many angels were around God's throne as described in the Bible verse - countless angels, thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. Encourage the children to make as many angels as they can to represent the vast number around God's throne. This hands-on activity will help them visualize the magnitude of angels worshiping God in heaven.

Memory Verse or Rhyme

In heaven above, a wondrous sight,
Angels and elders shining bright.
Thousands upon thousands, too many to count,
Praising God with a joyful shout!
Revelation 5:11, a verse so grand,
Shows us God's glory in a heavenly band!
