Revelation 4 (NMV)
After this I looked, and there was a door standing open in heaven. The first voice that I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, "Come up here, and I will show you what must happen after this."
Immediately I was in the Spirit, and there was a throne in heaven, and someone was sitting on it.
The One sitting there had the appearance of jasper and carnelian, and a rainbow that looked like an emerald surrounded the throne.
Around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and seated on them were twenty-four elders dressed in white garments, with golden crowns on their heads.
Flashes of lightning and rumblings and thunder came from the throne. Seven torches of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven spirits of God.
Before the throne was something like a sea of glass, like crystal. In the center, around the throne, were four living beings covered with eyes in front and in back.
The first living being was like a lion, the second was like an ox, the third had a face like a man, and the fourth was like a flying eagle.
Each of the four living beings had six wings; they were covered with eyes around and within. Day and night they never stop saying: "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come."
Whenever the living beings give glory, honor, and thanks to the One seated on the throne, the One who lives forever and ever,
the twenty-four elders fall down before the One seated on the throne and worship the One who lives forever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say:
"Worthy are You, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, because You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created."
