corinthians 2 (NMV)
And I, brothers and sisters, when I came to you, did not come with impressive speech or human wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God.
For I resolved to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.
I came to you in weakness, with great fear and trembling.
My message and my preaching were not with persuasive words of wisdom, but with a demonstration of the Spirit and of power,
so that your faith would not rest on human wisdom but on the power of God.
Yet among the mature we do speak wisdom, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.
Instead, we speak God's hidden wisdom in a mystery, a wisdom that God appointed in advance for our glory before time began.
None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
But as it is written: "What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has imagined, God has prepared these things for those who love Him."
Now God has revealed these things to us through the Spirit, for the Spirit searches everything, even the deep things of God.
For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man within him? In the same way, no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
Now we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what has been freely given to us by God.
And we speak these things not in words taught by human wisdom, but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual truths in spiritual terms.
But the natural person does not accept what comes from the Spirit of God, because it is foolishness to him; he cannot understand it, because it is spiritually discerned.
The spiritual person, however, evaluates all things, yet is not evaluated by anyone.
For "Who has known the mind of the Lord, so as to instruct Him?" But we have the mind of Christ.
