corinthians 3 (NMV)
And I, brothers and sisters, could not speak to you as spiritual people, but only as people of the flesh, as infants in Christ.
I gave you milk to drink, not solid food, because you were not yet ready for it. In fact, you are still not ready,
because you are still influenced by the flesh. For since there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not acting in a fleshly way and living like people of the world?
For when one says, "I follow Paul," and another, "I follow Apollos," are you not acting merely like humans?
What then is Apollos? What is Paul? Servants through whom you believed, as the Lord assigned to each of us.
I planted, Apollos watered, but God caused the growth.
So then neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God who causes the growth.
The one who plants and the one who waters have the same purpose, and each will receive their own reward according to their own labor.
For we are God's coworkers. You are God's field, God's building.
According to the grace of God that was given to me, I laid a foundation like a skilled builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one must be careful how they build on it.
For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.
If anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw,
each one's work will become obvious, because the Day will disclose it. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person's work.
If what someone has built survives, they will receive a reward.
If someone's work is burned up, they will suffer loss, but they themself will be saved, yet only as one escaping through the flames.
Don't you know that you are God's temple and that the Spirit of God lives in you?
If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy that person. For God's temple is holy, and you are that temple.
Let no one deceive themselves. If anyone among you thinks they are wise by the standards of this age, let them become foolish so that they may become truly wise.
For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God's sight. As it is written: "He catches the wise in their craftiness."
And again: "The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are pointless."
So let no one boast in human leaders. For everything belongs to you
whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or the present, or the future, everything belongs to you,
and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.
