corinthians 5 (NMV)
It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and a kind that is not even tolerated among the Gentiles [non-Jews]: a man is living with his father's wife.
And you are arrogant! Shouldn't you instead be filled with sorrow and remove the one who did this from among you?
Even though I am not physically present, I am with you in spirit. As one who is present in this way, I have already judged the one who did this, as though I were right there.
When you are assembled in the name of our Lord Jesus, and I am with you in spirit, and the power of our Lord Jesus is present,
hand this man over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord.
Your boasting is not good. Don't you know that a little yeast spreads through the whole batch of dough?
Clean out the old yeast, so that you may be a new batch, just as you really are unleavened. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.
Therefore, let us celebrate the festival, not with the old yeast, the yeast of evil and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
I wrote to you in my previous letter not to associate with sexually immoral people,
not at all meaning the immoral people of this world, or the greedy, or swindlers, or idolaters, otherwise you would have to leave the world.
But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually immoral, or greedy, or worships idols, or speaks abusively, or is a drunkard, or a swindler. Do not even eat with such a person.
For what business is it of mine to judge outsiders? Are you not to judge those who are inside?
God will judge those outside. "Remove the evil person from among you."
