Romans 12 (NMV)

1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God, this is your spiritual act of worship.

2 Do not be conformed to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may test and approve what God's will is, His good, pleasing, and perfect will.

3 For by the grace given to me, I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you should, but think with sound judgment, as God has assigned a measure of faith to each one.

4 For just as we have many parts in one body, and all the parts do not have the same function,

5 so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.

6 We have different gifts according to the grace given to us: If the gift is prophecy, use it in proportion to faith;

7 if it is service, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach;

8 if it is encouraging, then encourage; if it is giving, do so generously; if it is leading, do it diligently; if it is showing mercy, do it cheerfully.

9 Let love be without hypocrisy. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.

10 Love one another deeply as brothers and sisters. Outdo one another in showing honor.

11 Do not lack diligence. Be fervent in spirit. Serve the Lord.

12 Rejoice in confident expectation. Be patient in pressure and suffering. Be faithful in prayer.

13 Share with the saints in their needs. Pursue hospitality.

14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them.

15 Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep.

16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own eyes.

17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone.

18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

19 Do not take revenge, dear friends, but leave room for God's wrath. For it is written: "Vengeance belongs to Me; I will repay," says the Lord.

20 But "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. For in doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head."

21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
