1 Welcome the one whose faith is weak, but not to argue over opinions.

2 One person believes they may eat anything, but the one who is weak eats only vegetables.

3 The one who eats must not look down on the one who does not, and the one who does not eat must not judge the one who does, because God has accepted them.

4 Who are you to judge someone else's servant? Before their own master they stand or fall. And they will stand, because the Lord is able to make them stand.

5 One person judges one day as more important than another; another considers every day the same. Each one must be fully convinced in their own mind.

6 The one who observes the day does so in honor of the Lord. The one who eats, eats in honor of the Lord, for they give thanks to God. And the one who does not eat, also does so in honor of the Lord and gives thanks to God.

7 For none of us lives for ourselves alone, and none of us dies for ourselves alone.

8 If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.

9 For this very reason, Christ died and came to life again so that He might be Lord of both the dead and the living.

10 But why do you judge your brother or sister? Or why do you treat them with contempt? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God.

11 As it is written: "As surely as I live," says the Lord, "every knee will bow before Me, and every tongue will confess to God."

12 So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.

13 Therefore let us stop judging one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any obstacle or trap in the way of a brother or sister.

14 I know and am convinced in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself. But if anyone considers something to be unclean, then for that person, it is unclean.

15 If your brother or sister is distressed because of what you eat, you are no longer acting in love. Do not destroy someone for whom Christ died by what you eat.

16 Therefore, do not let what you consider good be spoken of as evil.

17 For the kingdom of God is not about eating and drinking, but about being made right with God, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.

18 Whoever serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and approved by people.

19 So then, let us pursue what promotes peace and what builds up one another.

20 Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All things are indeed clean, but it is wrong for a person to cause someone else to stumble by what they eat.

21 It is better not to eat meat or drink wine or do anything that causes your brother or sister to stumble.

22 Whatever you believe about these things, keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the one who does not condemn themselves by what they approve.

23 But the one who has doubts is condemned if they eat, because they do not eat from faith. And everything that is not from faith is sin.
